According to Steve Hasker, President and CEO of Thomson Reuters, realising the potential benefits of AI will not simply come from using the tools; it will come from rebuilding the very foundations of how work gets done.
“The hardest part in my view with this forthcoming AI adoption is rewriting the fundamental business processes,” Steve says. “It’s one thing to buy the tools, to license the tools, to have colleagues use them. But in order to get the benefits, you need to go down to the underlying business processes and automate everything that can be automated. That’s hard work.”
