Goodman held a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony today to mark the start of construction of Eumemmerring Business Park.
The Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony was delivered by Bunurong Elders of South-Eastern Kulin Nation to cleanse and help prepare the site for construction. It also marked the beginning of an important relationship between Goodman and the Bunurong community.
Located 2.3 kilometres from the South Gippsland Freeway, Eumemmerring Business Park will deliver a new industrial hub, and boost economic growth in the Dandenong area. With a population of 4.6 million people accessible within a one-hour drivetime, and a diverse economy, Dandenong South is a strategic location for businesses requiring easy access to large consumer markets. With convenient access to Melbourne CBD, airport and port, the area is already home to a range of businesses requiring fast distribution around the state and beyond.
The new 6.5-hectare brownfield development will deliver state-of-the-art warehouse and office facilities to help our customers reach large consumer populations and meet their needs for operational efficiency.
Eumemmerring Business Park will be an attractive, people-focussed site with a strong emphasis on sustainability which will help customers reduce energy use and meet their sustainability objectives. Targeting a 5 Star Green Star rating, the development will feature landscaping and outdoor green spaces, high-quality design, solar, electric vehicle charging, smart metering and an embodied carbon offset allowance.
